Solo rockin'
Sound quality is average for an audience recording -- the music comes through nicely despite crowd noise, which makes it hard to hear some of the between-song commentary. But the download is well worth it for the performance. I've heard around a dozen of these solo Warren shows and this is the most energetic so far. He really rocks out on songs like the Stones' Start Me Up (terrific version -- makes it sound like he wrote it), Johnny Strikes up the Band, and the Jungle Work > Not Fade Away closer. It sounds like he's got a full backup band playing in his head. There's all kinds of hilarious alternate lyrics on songs like Werewolves and Mohammad's Radio ("Iacocca's got his problems too/ He will surely take them out on the UAW"). A great show overall.
